The detail that goes into this restaurant before even biting into your meal - Wow! The design of this Cuban restaurant is so pretty. Look at all of that vibrant color and print! I love that this restaurant is so welcoming. I would hands down come here any day with my laptop, grab a fresh baked bakery item and a coffee, and post up at one of their tables inside to work. I love all of the natural light from the big, open windows. You are immediately welcomed with warm, friendly smiles upon entering. I’m a little embarrassed that before last week, I had never been to any of the locations before. Of course not by choice; I have always wanted to visit. I’m so happy I finally had the opportunity & time to stop in, and try a few things! Oh my gosh the baked goods, I made a mess pulling these apart to truly see each and every scrumptious layer. Ate every bit of those guava and cheese filled pastries! Will be back for more! The Medianoche sandwich, y’all he a thiccc boy! I ate half of the sandwhich later that day, and shared the other half with my significant other who almost threw hands for my half too, lol. This sandwich was so savory and filling. I would order this again as well. Very filling! Happy to see these gorgeous girls thriving and opening a sixth location soon in Fleming Island!

We got two plates, gf got beef and I got braised chicken. Both were really good. We also got blueberry pie, it was not overwhelmingly sweet but light, and very refreshing. Everything including service was fantastic. They play music but not overly loud and the place has nice atmosphere to chill and eat.

I have been in many cuban restaurants and this one is spectacularly good. The detail in the plate when served, the flavor and "sazon" is unparalleled. We order "palomilla" was cooked to perfection and juicy and with "arroz congri", "platano maduro con queso" and rosted pork was soft, juicy and the sazon was perfect with white rice and black beans soup. I must say that the flavor of the soup impressed me with that touch of smoke that brought back childhood memories. The coffee OMG I loved it the "cafe con leche" and the Cuban espresso . The service is great and I personally congratulated the cook. We had churros and they were FABULOUS, just as we were expecting. Will be back very soon.

I had an amazing experience at 1928 Cuban Bistro! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the decor was lovely. The menu had a great selection of authentic Cuban dishes and drinks, and everything we ordered was delicious. The Ropa Vieja and Cuban Sandwich were both highlights, and the Flan for dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend 1928 Cuban Bistro for anyone looking for a great Cuban dining experience in Jacksonville!

We had to evacuate to Jacksonville with our dog for Hurricane Milton. The day after the storm, we struggled at first to find a dog-friendly place that was open. Our son suggested this restaurant and location, and they welcomed the six of us, as well as our dog. And the food was so good! It is some of the best Cuban food I’ve had. Makes me wish I lived here!

This was some of the BEST food I have ever had in my life! The Medianoche, the Yucca bites, the key lime, the guava and cheese, all SO good. I can not get enough. The menu items are so unique and absolutely delicious. The space is adorable and clean. The staff were super pleasant and very quick. My new favorite restaurant by far!

We always like to try the flavor of the region we’re visiting. While visiting Jacksonville, FL, we stopped by the 1928 Cuban Bistro off of Baymeadows. It’s a small quaint little place, but there is nothing small about the way they welcome you in like family, and there is definitely nothing small about those huge, hot, flavorful, and delicious Cuban sandwiches, and the side of hot and crunchy yuca steak cut fries with the the three dipping sauces. I thought it would be no problem eating an entire sandwich, and I really wanted to, but I just couldn’t do it, because it was so filling. Another reason we couldn’t do it was because we were saving room for the Guava and Cheese pastry which was flaky and delicious as well. The good thing about this is that we both had some leftover for dinner. WIN, WIN! Go get you some!!!!
